camber wear is pretty normal for our cars, just looking at the factory alignment specs will tell you that. Its actually worse if you baby the car or do lots of highway driving.

Out in the open, masked off car and were doing the bumper... out in the open.... oh theres no dust in the air or anything... You walk in and wait 10 minutes for one of the guys to speak to you... horrible service.

I just cant beleive all those people looked at my tires and said theyre wearing EVENLY. It annoys the **** out of me. Thats not even just on the inside, its worn as you go left to right.

Hey bro there is a reason I live in Texas (im in the army) and get my work done in Chicago. The dealer down here fought to fix my car the first time. The first 12 months an alignment IS covered. They are also required to replace tires that are damaged from the alignment. Now if YOU did more damage to the tread than the bad alignment then they have the right to refuse a tire replacement on the rears. But not new fronts and an alignment. The dealer here in Texas did just that and they put Yok.s ES100 tires on my front. Well they are not recommended for the Z due to the continuing tire wear issues. So after 4k miles those new tires were trashed, WITH NO ABUSE TO THE CAR AT ALL. I did not want to be the cause of the problem happening again. So while in Chicago and the Midwest Nismo release party I talked to the General Manager and he agreed that there still MAY be an issue. They looked at the car and sure enough the 07 has the same abnormal visual tire ware that older Z's have been known to have. They again did the alignment and replaced the tires with Dunlops. And now 4k later the car was done right this time with no issues. As a matter of fast I like the Dunlops much better than the OEM tires. You either need to find a reputable dealer that is willing to take care of you and fix your $30k car. Or PM me, I have personal contact numbers to high ranking Nissan officials. That is if this one does not help you at all, Nissan Cust. Svc. 800-258-7008.

I know your pain. It sucks to have this happen too a nice new car. You are right you should not even have to deal with this for at least 20k miles. Just continue to do your home work and dont let the dealer push you around. I would also let Cust. Svc. know about their out door paint booth, I think they would like to hear about it.

Thanks for the info buddy, i go back tomorrow after class, well see what happens. I love how i walk in with hospital scubs and get treated with respect from the manager, then yesterday he wasnt there and waited 20 minutes to talk to an associate manager only to tell me to talk to the manager.

Well, had a talk.... i got there at 4ish.... and the jackass couldnt look at my cars alignment.... meanwhile my tires are balding. Have to go back monday, my next free day, after work. Theyre gonna check my alignment, he told me the Z isnt adjustable, so something has to be bent to having bad camber. My father was having a fit when i told him, so hes calling him tomorrow, the manager offered to leave my car at dealership and drive me to work but i dont even trust my car there alone. Ridiculous, but he said i have to call to start a warranty claim and when they look at it theyll replace what needs to be, i told him i better get 2 fresh tires, im not putting one brand new one on and have the other at 4/32.

They checked my alignment, got a printout, told me that everything is within alignment. one or 2 things are at the border line of being out but not enough to cause that kind of wear. He told me tomorrow he would put on MAXIMA tires on my Z. Same size but different speed rating, i think i already told you guys. I refuse to do that, they will have a softer sidewall and i dont think thats safe. I'm going AGAIN after work to tell him to either order me new tires and give me a good alignment or im calling nissan again to complain and getting a news channel to investigate and make them look bad.. yes, im going to the extreme. I dont have 535 dollars laying around for tires, i didnt anticipate this problem.

Nissan woman, was like ok i made a note that we spoke but i cant do anything for you since we dont warranty the tires, im like im wondering why the manager told me to start a claim then, shes like idk. I call the dealer and he was "busy". STS guy was like dont even bother going back, i didnt even have time to, had to go back to work. So well see what happens tomorrow. If anyone knows about alignments i can post the specs. You can see the pic of my tire on the 1st page.

DUDE NO GO ON Max. tires. they did the same to me. They will wear down much faster in the same manner as the are now. You need to find a Reputable dealer near you. The one your using sux.

lol tell me about it, he told me they would be just a temporary solution. Father told me i should take them just to make them look worse later on when we call up.... putting wrong speed rating tires on a car drasticly changes handling of the car. I put low speed rating tires on my accord and it felt like i was on marshmellows. The steering response got dangerous, it was so slow. Tire place took them back after like 6k miles.

Sounds like you abused your tires. The way you keep talking about your father (says to do this and that) I mean If I have a problem with my car I don't call my dad. You must be a young person and probably abused your car.
P:S I was young once too.

I'm 21, but when you bring your father into the picture and your around my age, they really get worried. No one wants to have a parent flip out on them for not helping their kid out. Corporate woman told me to take the car to another dealer for a second opinion, and the manager there told me no way. Told me he wouldnt touch the car because it wasnt his problem, and because i didnt purchase it there. The woman at corporate told me he didnt have to look at the car if he didnt want to. Nissan has the worst customer service ive ever seen in my life.

I took it back to the original place and the manager told me he was too busy to look at it again, and that he just doesnt want to. This is a total nightmare, over 2 tires that are bald on the inner edges and a new alignment. He admits my toe is out, and camber i beleive, but not enough to cause the wear that he denies exists, even though every tech i showed agreed with me. I'm going to contact the owner of the dealer and tell him or them, that im going to be taking legal action. I will not pay for a defective car, and i will be reimbursed for my downpayment. My cousin is a lawyer, he will have no problem typing something up for me.

I highly doubt the owner will want to go to court over some jerkoff manager that wont fix my alignment under WARRANTY, and slap 2 good tires on. I got the car on june 15, i will be hitting 10k miles tomorrow most likely, and they wont fix my alignment? This is nuts, and I cant get in touch with anyone from corporate to help me out. I've never seen anything like this. And just because im 21, doesnt mean i abuse my tires or car. I wont deny speeding on occasion but roasting tires to make smoke is boring.

I'm going one more time, and then I will go to another dealer and not say one word about the dealer im dealing with. Think its time to call up the better business bureau.
