Default Need new tires!!!

SRRY FOR WALL OF TXT :-(

Okay so i have been going threw all the threads on this forum. and what it comes down to is i need some help. i have a 2003 enth. i need 4 new tires, i have gone 26k on the stock ones (17 inch rims). now i live in va beach so if we have the hint of snow everything closes. and we get a decent amount of rain, i am looking for tires that will last me about a year because i want to go out and get some new wheels and tires again, but as of now my car is unfit to drive. now here are my ???'s (P.S. i drive some what moderate, noting to crazy and all i do is drive to and from work + school)

- 225 50 17 and 235 50 17 are my current stock sizes, i know that the 225 is the width....how wide can i go on the stock wheels, i am not looking for super performance but if a tire comes and i don't find it in the size i want if i go 245 in the rear am i going to run into issues?

- i am not a huge fan of the potenza's but i honestly don't know what kind of tire to get...i have looked at a lot and i am not looking for something "SUPER AWESOME DOUBLE CLUTCH FANTASTIC" i just want something i am not going to die with going down up an on ramp or driving threw a puddle.

- and where do you guys find and buy your tires? our local tire shops seem retarded, the one tried to sell me winter only tires, and the dealer wants 1300 $ for the 4 stock. i am looking for something decent i just dont want to break the bank here for tires i am going to use for about a year...

some tires i have looked at

the stock ones

the Falken Ziex Ze 912

Falken Fk452 (seen in sizes 255/45/17 + 245/45/17)

Toyo Proxes Tpt

i just don't know can some one help me
