Stock 17" wheel size...

^^ Wow! That’s heavy. I suppose it isn’t too important for 17” wheels with snows (performance isn’t the issue here)… But, stock 18” wheels with this much un-sprung weight is too much if you want decent performance and handling.

Actually - I think the 17" are more like 21lbs with the stock tires at 29lbs. Crazy. The 18" are 23-24lbs with stock tires at 28-29lbs. I've never had them seperated but, I'm going on what Tire Rack states the tires weigh and I subtract it from the total actual weight that I measured.
I'm thinking about some Kosei K1 TS 17x8 that are at 15.5lbs. Those should save some weight over stock. Throw some good sticky race DOT's on there and your set. Of course you'll need some sways, shocks and springs next with a upgraded LSD. ;-) See how it goes ... Therefore, I'm waiting just a little bit longer to see what happen for me financially.
Kosei K1 TS Grey ..... I just noticed $129 for 17x9 that you can't get in the gold ones. Man, I like those gold ones ... but for $239 each and you can't even get 17x9's .... I might go with the grey and just paint them or, enjoy them as is.
Oh, heck ... maybe I'll just drill out the stock wheels... Lol !!! I'm such a cheap bastage ....
