Question about fitment

I did a search but couldn't find any results. Can I fit 245 or 255/45/17 tites on the stock 17'' rims?

I recommend the OEM width plus or minus 10 mm.

I used to recommend plus or minus 20 mm, but do not want to be responsible if the tire falls-off the wheel.
