I definitely believe the likes/dislikes are connected to personal era. I went through the 60's when chrome was becoming king, but I had a sports car with real wire wheels. After that all my cars had wire wheels or hubcaps that looked like them. My last one was 25 years later and it dawned on me I was the only one that liked them.

I love my stock '06 wheels. I would never get chrome nor anything that looked too flashy on the Z, but I like the grayish and black wheels members have with polished rims. I'm open to what is "in" unless I really don't like it.

Chrome wheels these days are linked to a more "ghetto" type of crowd or car. Just turn on MTV and watch some rap music videos. I personally hate chrome and prefer the JDM-style rims w/ deep dish look. I'm 24 btw.

I'm an older guy and I like chrome on my Ford F100 with all the chrome trim.

The Z with brush alum looks better in my opininon with polished rims.

chrome just doesn't go on a sports car. Was there ever a sports car that came with chrome wheels? Not in my lifetime.

One of my great gripes is that Nissan puts their chromes on so many Zs for $1600 addon. What an effing ripoff.

Chrome is gaudy IMO. I don't like it... never have, never will. Maybe it is an age thing (I'm 25 going on 26 in a month).

i think chrome is not a bad choice, but the style of rim that it usually attaches itself to...those too fast too furious/gangsta dubs chromies is ruining a nice chrome rim.

it looks awesome when done right.

I am 23 and when I see black wheels I think IDIOT!!! I hate them, but thats my opinion. I like the stock looks the most, plain brushed look.

Don't listen to me, I've got a black G with gold Work Meisters, lol!

It might be an age thing... my dad is 54, and he swears by chrome. IMO, chrome isn't a bad finish on a domestic sports car or muscle car. The Z is neither, so I don't think it lends itself well to chrome. I don't really like chrome on G35's either. In general, I think imports get to have the crazy finishes that look odd on a domesic, and domestics get chrome. But that's just me...

I'm ok with RMC (RAYS Metal Coating) and fully polished wheels. Chrome is too much bling and I'd rather have something that's a bit more aggressive instead of flashy.

And for the guy who thinks people people are idiots who chose black wheels.... ftl

Damn, what are those and where can I find them?

Same with these:

I've been looking at some sites and have considered buying some but after seeing stuff like this I'm starting to reconsider my choices... does anyone have any suggestions? Good places?
