Does anyone know whats wrong
Just got new wheels and tires and swapped the tpms sensors into them but now the psi light comes on and says i have 18psi in my tires but when i go to put air in them and check the pressure its says 35psi. Do the tpms sensors need to be reset when you get larger wheels or what. Anyone else have this problem?

What did you use to check the pressure, a good dial gauge or a cheap pencil gauge or even worse, one of those builtin gauges on the air hose?
Most cheap gauges can be off by 5-10 very easily. The TPS sensors are rated ±1psi. It's not likely that all four are wrong.

You don't have to drive them a specific distance, you just have to drive them over 20mph to get a new reading to come through. The sensors only switch on above that speed so the batteries don't wear down when the car isn't moving.

Yes, they (the sensors) will eventually need to be replaced. The rated life for the batteries is 7 years. Because the sensor is a molded unit, you can't access the batteries, the whole sensor needs to be replaced.
I doubt it is the batteries with a shelf life of 7 years. Have any other members reported having to change out the batteries? I would head back to the shop and have them take a look. If they throw up their hands then head to a dealership and send the bill to the crappy tire shop.
Someone messed up somewhere.
