Yeah, my warning light went on the other day. Then the 'ICY' light came on too. Stupid cold weather, I think it might be time to take off the summer wheels & tires.
Why do pople want to disable everything?? It's there for your safety. If you properly maintain your car, you shouldn't have to worry about it in the first place. Just the other day there was a post where some noob wanted to disable the "buzzer" that warms you ef various things in the car, cause he didn't like how it beeped when he put the key in. Comeon people!!
+ 1000000 I had to keep checking my tire pressures last week during my little road trip up through the BC interior mountains. Changing temperatures + changing altitude = big changes in tire pressure, ride compliance, handling, fuel economy, and tire wear.
Now that it's colder, make sure that you check the tire pressure more often.
Good advice. I'm actually surprised how much more tire pressures vary when the ambient temperature is lower. I wonder if cold weather justifies spending extra for nitrogen fills. I’m about to mount snows on 17’s, and hopefully upping the profile height reduces the sensitive tire pressures. I’m leaving out the TPMS sensors and going with the “old fashioned” technique of using an analog/physical pressure instrument.
I got that light too last week. My first time with a car that has this featured. I kinda had a feeling it was the tire pressure, but in the back of my mind I was worrying that light might be something else. It was a relief that it went away when I put more air into it.
Yeah mine has come on like 3 times, first time they were all low the other two times the front right (passenger front) was down like 10 PSI. Does this mean I have a small leak? Takes like a week for the warning light to turn on after I fill the air back up.
