Another winter tire question
2004 Base with 17" rims. Can I put 225/55QR17 in the rear on stock rims? This is my daily driver so snow and ice grip is going to be important, so I am looking at the WS-50's. Let me know what you all think. Thanks again~

As long as the OD of the tire is just about the same as the stock tire then you will be OK as far as vehicle dynamics, speedometer reading and TCS / VDC systems are concerned. Also keep in mind that the smaller you go in width, the better traction you will have in snow. It's like laying down on a fresh bed of snow vs. stepping on it.
I would advise against the WS-50 as they are an old model now. They were replaced by the Revos which have also just been replaced (after being out for only a year) by the new WS-60. I just had a set of the WS-60 put on my g/f Jetta GLI and they are awesome winter tires!
