So you're saying that with this set up you're rubbing....because you're dropped
-Cut fenders, 19x10.5+18 & 285/35/19 - drop unknown (but doesn't really matter in this case anyway, you'd still have plenty of clearance)
While I'm NOT rubbing at all with the following setup
-Rolled fenders, 19x11+17 & 285/35/19 - dropped ~1.25" camber can be set at -2.0 (OE spec) w/o problems
You must be running positive camber or something to make them rub man!

So I insisted that fenders be rolled/ shaved but my installer is now...just refusing and claims that damage is inevitable. No prob...I'll just go to another guy...
now...discussion is over with current dimensions...
I really like the rims and tires and definitely do not want to rid off but will switch tires if needed.
what should I do:
1. rid off gf210 and replace with hotchkis, (decreasing the drop)
2. trade tires for 285/30/19. will this look funny as profile is smaller at rear.
3. switch to other tire manufacturer like falken
criteria
hate stretched look
suggestions pls....

Otherwise, you have 2 routes you could take ...
Easy route: Just listen to all those nice folks who told you to put on 275's in rear = $
Harder route: You could roll / cut your fenders with a negative camber adjustment = $$$$$
OR....
Alternative route: If you are planning on a major face lift of the Z, just go wide body then the problem will be fully solved << That was the option I chose, Planning on running +2 offset with 295's ~ 305's if possible
As far as rolled fenders / cut fenders + 285's, it will most def. rub on a Tanabe lowering springs for sure.

^ I have the GT-S on order and I had few questions for you. One of the reason I bought these wheels is because I wanted the aggressive look for my Z. I planned on running 285s and now I'm a little bit worry. Reading here sounds to me like 285 can work with fenders rolled. That's good. But how does it look from the back? Can we see a straight shot of your Z from the rear? also, what's your set up?
Anyone running 275s - Can you show us a pic of this stretched 275s? I think it's going to help us better.

Ok. This is for everyone who is considering GT-S' in the +17, +18 Offset. Here are the options and the consequences of each to my knowledge.
1. Going 275/35/19 in the rear. You might not have rubbing issues on springs with an aggressive drop. GF210, Hotchkiss, Dropzone, etc.
Pros: No rubbing. The tire will not stick out of the wheel well.
Con: Tire will looked streched. Less tire on the ground.
2. 285/35/19 This setup is good for those with less aggresive springs like Tein, etc. I would recommend that the fenders be rolled. You might not have too, but for the JIC Factor, I would definetly do it.
Pros: More tire on the ground. No streched look. Tire gap is clean.
Cons: Negative Camber, the wider the tire the more negative camber on stock components. Tires wear unevenly. The tires stickout of the fender wells by about 5mm.
3. 295/35/19 I would only recommend that if you have your fenders rolled and have an aftermarket camber kit. This way you have complete control of your camber.
Pros: Even More Tire on the ground. Full coverage of tire on the wheel.
Cons: The tire will definetly stick out. If you don't have a camber kit, your camber will be bad.
4. 285/30/19 Although you are running a lesser profile, the wheel gap will be greater. You also still run the risk on big bumps at high speeds.
Pros: Less likely to rub tire.
Cons: Less profile means less tire. Tires wear faster. You might still rub with unrolled fenders.
This is recommendation.

Screw your installer , just jack it up in your driveway and bolt the wheels on. Next drive to your installer and prove to him they fit.
