+1

It's like going into the "Fat tire" thread to talk about how the NA cars are waisting rubber, lowering their mpg and destroying the environment for our children with the overkill tread.

Thread title should be:

Down and out...or GTFO!

1) It's definitely tough to figure out how to make your wheel setup flush. That's why some people don't even divulge their offsets. It's as if it's some sort of trade secret. lol.

2) Automotive styling has trends, just like fashion. Look at the past two decades or so and you will see various styles of import modification. Thus, to each his own. Furthermore, it's not like arguing is going to make some member say.."wow, I didn't think of it that way, let me sell my aggressive wheels and go back to a mild setup."

3) Trust me, I'm on the aggressive fitment team, but the members cautioning on the subject of safety are right. No matter what your style or setup is, please be safe out there.

4) Enough words. Let's just agree to disagree. To each his own, so keep the sick setups coming!

I respect that you are an engineer from one educated person to another, but you must also know about science, laws and theories. Something is true untill proven false. Ive known many of people who have been running stretched tires for a long time with no problems. Obviously the test groups are a little scewed as a lot less people run stretched tires than they do regular tires. But IMO the ultimate reason for tire failure is driver negligence, stretched tire or no stretched tire.

2) Smaller Spacers
3)Smaller Tires
