I bought stiffer springs because my tire is so close to the fender that everytime i would go around a turn or hit bumps it would rub really bad. And yes my fenders are rolled. But now that i got stiffer rates in the rear the spring doesnt compress as much making the car set higher and my coilovers in the rear are maxxed. Stance told me i need helper springs but before paying 100$ i want to make sure it will atleast go another inch lower.

well helper springs will def give you that inch your are looking for. That is if you have that space available between the two top lock ring and the bottom one.

i dont think helper springs are what you need, arnt they just to keep your tires in contact with the road? With helper springs i think you would be even higher up. Not 100% but thats what i think

yeah, they'd make him higher if anything.

lowandsteezy- have you removed collars? or sagged the springs? also, after a couple months of driving the springs will break in and the car will sit a bit lower.

Sagging the spring is not good. I would think helper springs would raise it also but not what stance says. Also i have threads showing to go lower but the spring is so much stiffer and there really is very much settling. I have about 1/4inch left of threads with out removing collars. Stance said i would have to remove the collars and install the helper spring and it will give me the "initial droop" that i need they said. I barely need an inch lower but im on 18's and slammed.

i understand what stance is trying to tell you to do (under the weight of the car the helper springs are usually almost fully compressed), but i don't think it will get you as low as you need to go. just sag the springs. i've been driving on sagged springs for 7 years and never had any issues with stance, fortune, bc, cusco, or jic.

Dunno wtf ppl are saying in here but they're wrong. Helper springs do not make your car higher, they let you go lower on the threads without having the spring loose and at the same time giving you additional drop. However, idunno how thick stance's lock rings are, all 3 removed should give you close to an inch 1/4 + you said you still had 1/4 left. Now all there's left to find out is how thick the helper spring is fully compressed. Since you don't have much space to play with HS might not be able to give you an inch. In the end you will probably need HS + shorter springs or send them back to get shorter struts

Get the HS, remove lock rings and you are set.

i had some 12/10k stance gr+ pro's on my s13 and when on the ground the helper springs were about 3/4 compressed and were 1"+ tall. looked like they would be maybe 1/2" fully compressed.

a collar is about 1/4"-1/3" so 2 removed with the gap = 3/4"-11/12" lower. he said that he wanted to go almose 1" lower. might be happy at 11/12" lower, but that definitely wouldn't give any space for a helper spring.

if he had 2" to spare then the helper springs would be the way to go...

also, helper springs are basically the same as sagging a spring since they "droop" at static height.

Need help! Hit a pot hole yesterday as I tried to avoid busted concrete in roadway. The run is still holding air as of now and this happened mid afternoon. Anyone know of a good reliable wheel repair or would you even trust that? Here's the photo
