you dont have to cut a whole ton off. the thing is thick, but depends how bad it is. i think most people say 3/4" is the max but i think i went a little beyond that. if you just need .5" or something you should be gold. you can get new mounts for around 40-50 a pair if im not mistaken. or someone surely has a pair to sell cheap if not give away. i would think it could possibly blow the shocks prematurely if anything-in my case anyway-but my next step until i came up with this idea was to order bc's and huck the teins in a dumpster where they belong, so doesn't really bother me too much.
