Default tire pressure monitors reset?

Hey guys I put some 19" wheels on the car and moved the tire presssure monitors in there but they do not work.

Do i need to get them reprogrammed or what? They do not work...I went to the dealer and they said they could fix it but its $45 a tire, thats a SHITLOOAD..haha any other suggestions

If it's the same tps, I don't see why it wouldn't work. If it is tps from another Z, then you will need to get them reprogrammed.

well the dealership said soemtimes they can loose the programming with interference. I dont know.

Is the dealership the only place that can do that, because they are charing a **** load

Yes, for the most part the dealer is the only one who can reprogram them. Unless you find somebody else with the Consult II system.

They shouldn't charge much more than $50 as it doesn't take that long to do the procedure.

The dealer said its ****ing $45 a tire...thats insane. close to $200 to get it programmed.

I dont understand why that much

that much because that's what they're going to charge you. If you do not prefer it, consult another local dealer or shop.

Don't attempt to understand why someone is charging you "that much." The choice is yours as a consumer to take it elsewhere.

all the dealer does...is take the consult II and hold a button against where the tps is inside the tire for about 20 seconds each tire and he wants to charge your 180$ for that? thats insane...last time i got them reprogrammed they did it for free as well as putting air in my tires.

Go to Discount Tire. They recently reset mine for free. Took just a few seconds per wheel.
