Default 19" rims question

as I am pretty new to the 350z scene and don't know much about offsets and things. I did a search around for some ideas on 19" wheels that wouldnt rub on my car being lowered with hotchkis kit? For the guys that know, What is a good offset and tire size for 19s that the tire wont be to stretched? Post pics if you want or just tell me. I would appreciate it!

Thanks in advance
Landon

I am also looking into 19 inch rims for my Chrome Silver Z. I saw the Progressive Spoke Volks, they look nice as helll.

19x8.5 front, 19x10.5 rear good?. Im going for handling and looks, not sure for offsets, i am also getting the Hotchkis TVS stage 1 kit.

You have to tell us what size width the wheels are going to be, before we can tell what the best offset and tire size would be? With Hotchkis kit, don't have to worry as much. There is a top 100 FAQ you could search for. It tells you about all your options.

I have 8.5" wide in the front, not wide enough for me!

As stated above, youd have to post what widths you want. For example i am running a 19x10.5 +15 (275/35/19) on the rear and 19x9.5 +20 (255/35/19) on the fronts and dropped 1" on Eibach springs with no rubbing. I did have to roll my fenders though. With the Hotchkis kit you wouldn't have to worry.

I want most likely a 19x9.5 I want to know a offset that will sit flush but also not hit my fenders. Also, I would consider a 18x9.5 wheel if A good offset was available

in my opinion you cant get flush in the rear without rolling the fenders. I have 10.5 with + 15 on 275's and it's pretty flush (rolled), but I'll soon go with wider tires. Oh and i'm dropped about 1.5 in the rear.

If you look in the classified->vendors->Wheels/Tires section, you will be able to find alot of the popular sizes and offsets.

Most people get 19x10.5 in back, 19x9.5 in front.

I have 19x10.5 +23 (w/ 285/35 tires), 19x9.5 +28 offset (w/ 245/35 tires), dropped on Nismo suspension, and I have no issues. I definitely am going to get 255 width front tires next time.

But I am a noob so don't listen to me.

As long as you get a tire with the same tire diameter as your oem, you will be fine, doesnt matter if they are 15s or 20s.

9.5"s all around are ok, +22 is also similar to OEM, it just depends on the look that you want. +22 is not aggressive at all.

if you want to have a nice look that does not require fender rolling, look for offsets in the low 20's for a 9.5, and teens to low 20's for an 8.5.

A 245 or 255 on the 8.5 front looks nice, and a 275 or 285 looks good on a 9.5.

As for which wheels, define your budget and the choices get narrowed quickly

/\ I agree. A 275 on a 10.5" wheel is stretched, and so is a 255 on a 9.5" wheel.

If you go to the tire manufacturers website and check the tire specs they tell you the approved rim widths for the size tire you are looking at. Stay within the rim width specs for the given tire size and it will not be stretched and optimum tire performance and contact patch is assured.

Does anyone here worry about running a 35 profile tire? I mean i have 40 profile on my Lexus and they are bent to hell from pothole's. 2 weeks after i got them they were already bent. I've been through 3 sets of wheels on this car already... Yes i was young and dumb and spent thousands on wheels . Thats my main reason why my Z will remain stock when it comes to wheels.
