Anyone know how the tread width and sidewall on these tires compares to BFG KDW2's of the same size? I may be possibly interested in grabbing some of these but fitment is tough with my offsets and KDW's.

I wish they had a spreadsheet of actual dimensions for each size like the other large tire manufacturers have...

I had toyos and the first thing i noticed about these were that the outer tread near the sidewalls were not near as beefy as my toyos. I can take detailed pictures if you like.

i really want to get a set of these, but my one VW loving friend said hes only heard bad things about these tires on their forum, feathering and such. Wondering if it only with the smaller sized tires and since those VW guys run a mean camber on their cars.

I have a couple hundred miles on mine and I can say they are a HUGE improvement over my khumos. even in sub 70 degree weather these tires hold relatively well and are not as noisy as the khumos were

Im debating what to put on my SF-Challenge 19"s at the moment. Ive got
9.5" wide fronts with a +23 offset and a 10.5" wide rear with a +28.

Rim protection is pretty crucial, and judging by the pics Jason333 has posted:

. . . it looks like the 295/30-19 give a good amount on the rear, on the front i was thinking 265/30-19, though this was when i was thinling of T1-Rs and it seems that the Vredesteins have a bigger footprint so maybe the 255/35-19 is where its at.

Cruicially i want no ribbing issues, and good rim protection and no VDC issues


Anyone got any feedback on those sizes?

is there really even a question? go with the 295/30

go with the 295/30 rear and 265/30 front. These tires are not overly wide for their size.

After looking through this thread and doing some research as well I went shopping on the good old WWW and found a company called Performance Plus , found the Vredestin Brand looked up my sizing 245/35/19 , 275/35/19 and the pricing knocked my socks off 245 series was $156.00 each and the 275 series was $189.00 shipping was only $19.00 .... Total was $709.00 . Now I double checked this pricing to make sure this is the same brand as this thread is talking about and it is .. so I purchased 4 tires , let's see if I get a e-mail from them . http://www.performanceplustire.com/p...res#prodAnchor
Update: I received a call yesterday and with shipping & taxes(duty,etc) the final bill was $920.00 .

thanks for the feedback, yeah, just need to make sure im not going to have rubbing issues. Im dropped a little on HotChkis. Want rim protection, but then again, i dont wonna rub, Im not sure 285/30's would cut it in the rim protection department.

We got small lanes, and wide ignorant buses coming the otherway, sometimes pavement (sidewalk ) is only option, otherwise, id give them a wide birth at all times.

So, I got a 275/35/19 in to put on the front of my new wheels and I measured it up to my old 265/35/19 PS2's that were on my old wheels. The width is about the same, the PS2 might actually be a mm or two bigger, but the sidewall of the Vredesteins are taller than the PS2. I wish it was the other way around.

The one thing I also don't like is that these tires offer no rim protection. The PS2's has the rubber coming out past the wheel lip, which is probably due to how they are designed to be mounted.

Other than that, so far the ride has been good and the performance of the tires seem to be on par with PS2's although I have not pushed it yet.

So wait, these are or arent directional, or asemetrical or whatever? Im confused, I know with my Kumho MX I swaped rears from rim to rim to get the wear even on the tires. Can I do that with these? Can someone take a pic from behind the car so I can see the tread on both rear wheels. Thanks

edit: They are not directional, rather they are asymmetrical You could swap these side to side without pulling them off and remounting

Guess for my 9.5" and 10.5" Ill get 255/35/19 and 295/30/19. Or should I get 30 for the front too?

See that's the thing, I have a lil agressive camber so when the inside of the tire shows wear I usuallt pull the tires from the wheels and have them switched sides so the outside now becomes the inside to wear the tires evenly.... Would this wok with this tire, it doesn't look like it while it would work with my Kumho's to get even wear out of the tires.

i did 255/35/19 and 295/30/19 and it seems fine. no slip.
