Just ordered a set from Group A wheels - they were the cheapest I could find for some 245/45/18s and 225/45/18 at just over $650

well i could not wait to get the new tires mounted so i found some time today. i called JE Imports in baltimore, Md. and they were able to get me in the same afteroon! i love when that happens.
i have not had time to really push them, but they feel great. i bought my car a year ago used, and it had 245/35/19, 275/30/19. hankooks up front and generals in the back. that rear tire profile looked funny, but would mess with my vdc ocassionally as well.
on top of all that my wheels had crazy weights everywhere and the tires were not balanced properly.
JE imports in maryland took care of me and the car feels great with these tires compared to the old ones. they look great. the tread pattern is cool.
they also have a nice little bead that hangs over the edge of the rim lip offering some protection. the vredesteins also don't looked stretched on my wheels at all.
i am pleased with the tires, and i found a great shop near me that can do any of my future mods from suspension(next) to FI(soon).

Something I found was that I took a Bridgestone S-03 255/40/18 and set it on the floor and then laid the Vredestein 275/35/18 next to it tread to tread and then put a four foot straight across the sidewalls of both tires and they were the exact same height. So what this means is that the section width of both of these tires is actually the same when one is should be 20mm wider. Both were mounted on the same size and make of rim.

i did a few hours of hard driving on the tires over the weekend and they performed really well. smooth and grippy. the car is so much better in every way as a result of good tires, proper balancing, and the right size combination. i am very happy with this purchase!

Got a few hundred miles on them and love them so far even when wet! Ordered 255/35/19 & 295/30/19. Sooooo much bteer then the stock potenzas.

I finally got these tires mounted a few months ago (225/45/18 & 245/45/18) and the difference from OE is night and day!

My thoughts…

Wet traction:
Prior to a few weeks ago we had some heavy rains and lots of standing water in the roads. Not once did I hydroplane and a few times the water was deep enough that the front spoiler kicked up water over the hood. I noticed going in a straight line hydroplaning was not an issue at all so I got on the highway and found a few spots where I was able to maintain a speed of > 55 and again it hugged the road well.

Dry Traction:
I'm all stock and auto at that (no bashing please) but in manual mode or not breaking the tires lose isn't as easy as it was with OE. From a dig I was impressed with the traction as well as how these tires help lessen the under steer our car has (stock) allowing you to push just a bit harder in corners. I am looking forward to auto crossing later this year (fall events).

+1 Water handling was actually really amazing. It stormed and i was afraid of water in the engine but grip was not a issue @ all. Dry I did a 2k clutch dump and barelyu chirped compared to the burnout i did on stock. Im in love and heading back to the 1/4 mile within the next mnth. I'll let u know how much it imoproves my times. Better tires plus alot wider. Hopeing to shave .2-.4 secs off.

Not yet. Unfortunately, my schedule's been tight between work and family obligations. Given that my annual June event with Tri-Region SCCA has been henceforth cancelled due to lack of profitability, the earliest opportunity appears to be the NASA Grand Slam Weekend event in July at Pocono. Will try to remember to post results then.

Could've attended the Pocono event with NASA this weekend, but I really don't like the North Course very much. Had a bad experience there a couple of years ago when an Evo went off and hit an NSX and G35 waiting in the hot pits.

hey.. they don't make these tires in 285/30-19.. did you mean 295?

to the rest of you.. is anyone running 295/30-19 on 10.5" +22 in the rear? i know there'll be rubbing, i'll definitely need my fendors rolled, but how bad is it? especially since it seems these tires are wider than advertised.. i was reading about how 295's are more like 305's.

I have 295/30/19 on 10.5" +17 with 1.2" drop on Tanabe GF210. Fender rolled with a -1.6 degree camber and it has not rub so far.



BTW, they are not as wide as compared to the Michelin PS2 or Goodyear Eagle F1 I had before. The sidewall on the Vredestein is rounder.

+! on sidewall comment. Im on tanabes with the same size and offset and prob cutting spring mount tommorow and should be perfect.

I have a 1 inch drop, with 9.5 front and 10.5 rear +22 on all four can i run 255-35 fornt and 295-30 rear without rubbing or having to roll my fenders? They dont make 285-35 for whatever reason and i dont know if 275 with these tires will be ok. I need some help let me know guys.

only way to know for sure is to try... that said, if I were a bet'n man, I would have money on them rubbing in the rear

if i got the 245-35 and the 275-35 would they cover the wheel or wil i ahve part of my lip sticking out bc of how the sidewalls are on these tires? i dont want part of the rim sticking out and looking stupid or at risk of being damaged. If i have to ill roll my fenders but if i can avoid having to do that and the 245 and 275 will be fine then thats what id rather do. Do you guys think that size would be ok or should i just roll the fenders and go for the 255-35 and 295-30

I have 275/35/18 front and 295/35/18 rear with no rubbing and no fender rolling but my offsets are 33 front and 37 rear.
