It will pudge some, depends on if you like the look. I personally do, it looks aggressive. If you have any doubts though, go with the 255 size, although from what I recall when searching that size was hard to find in a good tire. Ive run 265 on 8.5" track wheels, my GF has run it on 8" wide and my friend has run em on 8" wide touring 18's, it look sgood and meaty.

I like meaty too I have a 03' touring and according to these guys nothing meatier than 245 will fit? but if your certain I'll give it a shot

I had 275 on my rear 03 touring wheels with 0 problems or issues.

A lot of people are saying that it isnt possible because you cant fit 275's on 18X8 which are the wheels that come with the cars we have (03 touring)...I wanted to originally put 275's in the rear and 255's in the front (a difference of 20mm) . that would maintain the original stagger of 245 rear and 225 front (a difference of 20mm)...but they say it couldnt be done???? what size did you have in the front in how did the car feel????? did the car feel heavier and less agel then before???

Well I'm happy for you. You do realize that you have no warranty either from Nissan or the tire manufacturer because you are running a not recommended application. If something happens no one will except liability. You may have an action against the tire shop that allowed the installation.

A reputable tire shop like tire rack, discount tire, or ntb will probably turn you down because you are differing from the manufacturer recommendation. Check out the attached article below from 2003:

These cars come with Bridgestone Potenza RE040 tires. The tires have a rating of "140" treadwear, "A" temperature, and "A" traction. "A" ratings are good, although you can now find performance tires with "AA" traction ratings. The treadwear rating of 140 is extremely low - one of the lowest in the performance tire arena. Because of this you can expect the tire to last only 10 to 15 thousand miles, depending on your driving style! When they are ready to be replaced, do NOT buy this OEM product.

Much better tires can be had for a lot less money. As an example, in the 225X18 and 245X18 sizes on the Performance, Track, and Touring 6MT models, a set of RE040s run $1038 at the Tire Rack, whereas a set of
S-03s run only $760. The S-03 is Bridgestone's top-of-the-line tire and it has better performance and wear characteristics than their RE040.

Now, I bet you want to get new tires based on "plus" sizing. Don't do it! For those with the 17" wheels you are not able to do this without exceeding the tire manufacturer's recommendations on minimum wheel width. The 7 1/2" wide front wheel can't take a tire width beyond the standard 225/50. Those with 18" wheels all around can't plus size their tires either, because their rear 8" wheel can't go beyond the current 245/45. Let's face it, these cars are already tweaked! The only 350Z model that can properly go a plus size and (barely) stay within manufacturer's recommendations are the Track models. Their 8" front wheels can accommodate a 235/40 and their rear 8 1/2" wheels can take a 255/40, all for less than a $1000. So, for most of us 350Z owners, plus sizing means new wheels, too!!!
