Default Quick question, please read

Took the front wheel off today, and my brother noticed that there is a 12mm bolt on the front rotors, and it has like a spacer or something. Its bolted on the rotor, can this be removed? or what is it for, to push the rotor out when doing a brake job? Thanks.

that bolt is there so you don't switch the front oem wheels with the rears. it has no bearing on you're brakes or removing you're rotors. it is easily removable and will do no harm in taking it off.

Actually if the rotor sticks on the hub, just thread a bolt into it to remove the rotor. Same as plenty of other cars.

Q. I can't get my new rims to fit on the front. There's a little bolt there! What can I do??
A. That little bolt is there so your tire guys don't put your stock rear rims on the front by mistake. To install aftermarket rims, just get a 10mm wrench & unbolt it. Problem fixed!

If you remove the bolt all the brake fluid will leak out.
