I purchased Michelin tires from Costco last year using a similar program / coupon. Maybe they "run" this marketing deal every year.

At any rate, their price was much better than any other seller that I checked...and I checked quite a few.

No complaints.

that sounds like a good deal. just keep us posted on how it turns out.

speaking of discounted tires. My buddy ordered tires for his M3 from tiresrack.com and it was shipped to a local shop for mounting and balancing. While the price was good for the tires, the local shop F'ed up his car by airwrenching in the lug bolt and stripping the threats. now..his car only has 4/5 lugbolt. He has been trying to get reimbursement money and from what i hear, the local shop that f'ed it up is not taking responsibility. and he called tirerack and they don't seem to care too much about it. Anyone else with similar bad experience? the money my buddy saved doesn't even come close to the repair cost.

a letter from your friend's attorney-buddy will go a long way toward getting this fixed by them whose problem it is -- the installer.

It sure as hell won't be tirerack's fault this happened. They only sell tires and deliver them to where the buyer specifies.

hmm.. i called Costco, they can order me the 275-35-19s for $269.99 each (which includes the mounting/balancing and everything else) but they cannot order me the 245-35-19s that i need for the front.. which is weird.

looks like the coupon is going to be toast. unless i buy 4 of the 275/35s and sell them off..

anyone interested?

you can take that quote to your local Discount Tires Direct retailer, and they'll price match Costco. Much better service and much better equipment.

I ordered the Michelin Pilot Sport AS tires from them on Monday, but they haven't come in yet. DougRace has S03s and I think he's going to replace them with Kumho's. He's not satisfied with the So3s.

cheston,

Let me know when you need tires... If you can get the rears in 275/35/19 get them. Currently they are on national back order.

I can set you up with teh 245/35/19 for the fronts... Only two left in socal at one of my buddy's warehouses.
