Question T1/S or S-03??

I'm interested in hearing from folk who have experience on any car with each of these. I've used the Toyo and was very impressed, but so many people talk about the S-03 I'm wondering.

Handling? Dry? Wet?
Turn in?
Braking?
Noise?
Durability and mileage?
Best price?
Anything else?

I THINK the toyos are a bit less expensive, and Im 99% sure they are lighter. not sure how traction relates. but these 2 things were enough for me... Im happy with the toyos. even more happy with the good year eagle F1s I have on the back tires.

4000RPM clutch drop? smoke the tires? HAHAHAHa yeah right, 3 slow spins at most and your GONE.

i am still on OEM Potenza RE40 tires, but i have had Toyos in other cars in the past. Toyos are very good for the price. But IMHO, Michelin tires are the best..but they are more expensive. Has anyone tried Michelin pilot sport on their Z?

What about those new Goodyear F1 GS3's? They are cheaper and seem to be better in every category.

i was just looking at tires today.

from where i've looked, the So3s are cheaper than the T1s... the T1S has better wet traction, but from what i read, the turn-in capabilities is slighty worse than the S03s..

i was offered a partial sponsorship by Toyo, but im curious if should take it because since its partial, i still have to pay money. but the T1s is a bad *** tire and tire rack is always out of the S03s...

still undecided...

what about the Michelin Pilot sport A/S? While not a full out street performance tire like the Toyo T1S or SO3's, it's darn close and you get much improved cold and wet weather performance. I don't plan on tracking my car, and I'm thinking that the Pilot Sport A/S would be a better all around tire. It's tread rating is pretty high at 400 too.

Yeah, I was interested in the Eagles, too, but know nothing about them and was going to wait and let them season for a year or so to get a "track record" before I put them on the car. Keep us posted on your experience with them Ares .... am I right that you only put them on the rear? Why?

Yeah, I've read the same as all of you about the S03 -- ranked far better than the Pilot Sport -- but the only one of the three I've actually used is the Toyo. If the S03 turns in better than the Toyo, beware of whiplash And what Chebosto says about them in the wet matches my experience, too -- they are exceptional.

The thing I didn't care for with the Toyo was its longevity -- not the tread life as that seemed to be what I'd expected, but about half way through (8000 -- 10000 miles) they got noisy and lost some of their grip.

But that was three years ago and I'm wondering if Toyo has improved the base compound at all -- the effect of the driving change was sort of like what you get with the Blizzak when it gets past its initial snow tread, suddenly you're left with just a regular tire.

Anyone use the S03 enough to make a comparison?

Thanks.

i have set of s03 ....i would recomend it if ur looking for performance its 100% pure. but the tire noise is very loud.it has a special coating for wet surface.they do wear out very quick..around 13kmiles ...thats like burning $$ not rubber.
