Hey all,
I'm about to close on my purchase of a black '06 Enthusiast in a couple days. I am thinking about some easy subtle mods right off the bat once I finally get the car. I have been researching wheel spacers and I just want to know if anyone has had any issues with 25mm rear wheel spacers. Have they caused any rubbing over bumps with say 18" wheels (also on my list for initial mods)? Also in my research I've noticed (on eBay especially) there is a set of I believe generic spacers (width: 15-25mm) for $65 a set. Then of course with different brands prices vary. How much of a difference is there between brands and how they are manufactured. If they widen my stance and don't allow my wheels to fall off I'll be good! Hah! Please let me know of any personal experiences with them and any suggestions if possible and what I need to look for in particular. In the meantime I will continue my research. Thank you! Take it easy.

Much like this?

the project kics spacers (pic that you posted) come with hubcentric rings also. i'm running 20mm/25mm f/r with my stock '03 track wheels and hotchkis springs (~.8 drop). looks much better than when they were super tucked in.

Cool, again thanks. Does anyone have any pictures readily available that they can post of their wheels with spacers applied? I'm going to continue to search around for pictures myself but sometimes it's just easier to ask. Thanks for the help as always guys! And oh yeah, I just made it official on my purchase of the '06 MB 6-speed Enthusiast!!! Sooooo excited!
I actually bought a pair of the $65 spacers on ebay. I think they are the same ones you are talking about. They are hubcentric if you were wandering about that. I have had them for a few weeks and have no problems with them. Although, I read somewhere that having spacers larger than 15mm can put too much stress on the studs. Can anyone give some insight on this?

I was wondering the same thing but cannot find info anywhere. Does the increased leverage created by the spacers decrease bushing life? Any longterm camber arm/knuckle fatigue? I'd hate to void my precious suspension warranty for the sake of flush rim fitment.
Can somebody help us?

I'm thinking about doing this too... but like the above poster asked, does this create undue wear or is it a generally unsafe setup? This might be a stupid question, but I've never run a wheel spacer before so I don't know.
BTW I'm looking at purchasing +20(f) and +25(r) spacers with the optional hubcentric rings (for stock 07 wheels).

Same here, I've searched around but haven't come up with much info on the downsides of running spacers, or at least 20mm+ spacers. Any insight would be awesome since I'm planning to get some over the summer.
Im lowered 1" F/1.25"R with wheel spacers=+20mm front/ +25mm rear. The Z feels more stable. Im planning on dropping with Stance coilovers later this year, so, we'll see how that goes.

That's kind of funny trodis... I've been thinking about the TVS 1 but haven't done it yet... how do you like it as compared to the stock setup?
And no, I haven't gotten the spacers yet, so I can't comment, sorry.

Subscribing... Dropping powder cotaing and widening stance soon and need info. My predictive setup is gonig to be (newly purchased GF210's, 20mm (F) and 25mm (R) ichiban spacers with built in studs and hubcentric (of course) and want to also make sure this is a safe setup.

running wheel spacers shouldn't be any worse for your wheel studs than running wheels with more aggressive offsets. and based on how many people run aggressive offsets without problems, you can be pretty certain that you won't run into many problems with wheel spacers.
