Default Quick Question about offset on AME

Im planning on getting some ame circlar spec r's before they are completely discontinued so i was wondering if 19x9 19x10 +15 offset all around would fit flush with an aggressive stance without a fender roll (stock height for now). Or is +22 all around a good offset, cuz i know alot of volk owners try to stay around the 20's but every circlar spec r threads i found have the +15 offsets. Btw i have no bbk. Thanks

It should fit without rolling if you are at stock height, but it will look like crap. I have +14 rears and I cut my fenders to make sure my 285/35s would fit (lowered ~1.5 inches).

I had +15 front and rear. I had to roll my rear fenders to fit 285/35's as well with a drop.

They offer them in different disks as well, I would recommend a Super Low Disk in the rear, and in the front I had a Hi Disk because I have BBK's. This set up gave me I believe 3 inches of lip up front and 5 inches in the rear.

We are authorized dealers for AME wheels as well, so if you have any further questions, feel free to PM me.

I have the exact setup that you are considering and everything fits perfect. It depends on tire size as to whether you will need to roll your rears or not.

I have those - super-low disc in the rear and high in the front. 19x9, 19x10, +15 all around. I am not lowered yet, but...

I have had my car on a road trip, loaded down with luggage and did some VERY spirited driving on highway 74 from Palm Desert to Temecula and had zero rubbing.

But the Eagle-F1 GS-D3 tires run very narrow and I have 255/35 and 275/35. Wishing I had gone PS2 tires though. If I switch out to them, I might have to roll my fenders. I'll probably roll anyway though before I lower. Just to be safe.

BTW, most Volk owners stay around +22 because they are running 9.5" and 10.5" widths. The AME's are a bit narrower at 9" and 10", so our wheels at a +15 stick out about the same as the wider Volks with +22. I wanted the 9 and 10 because I don't like really stretched out tire sidewalls. Plus, there aren't many of these wheels around. I'm not gonna see them on someone else's car.

Rear lip is very deep...

Front lip is deeper than most rear lips I see...

so hot!
i guess +15 all around is the way to go but i dont wanna ask the vendors for a +15 since i already asked for a +22, i've been bugging alot .

Btw: would a +22 stick more out or in compared to +15? I still don't really understand offsets. Thanks

the lower the offset, the more aggressive they are. A +15 will stick further out than +22. A +22 on a 10" rear is about as aggressive you can get without worrying about rolling or cutting your fenders. If you go down to a +15, you should be prepared to roll or cut

Thanks DaveZ06. I would still recommend the +15 all around. The front will not rub at all. The rear might, if you get a 285. But I would recommend keeping the front at a 255 and the rear at 275. If you go wider in the rear, you'll get more understeer.

It's your money and you have to live with the wheels, so if you want a +15, don't worry if you already asked for a +22. You are the customer! I would check to see if they have ordered them yet.

There are a couple reputable vendors on this site that had these matte black wheels in +15.

A +22 will not stick out as much. As you lower the car, the wheels will be pulled in a little more, so if you like that look of the wheels being flush with the fenders, you might not want a +22 on these wheels.

Also, I would not recommend cutting fenders if you need more clearance. I think there are spot-welds on the fenders that you don't want to cut apart. Not 100% sure about that. If you need more clearance, get them rolled at a good shop that will heat them as they roll them.

^ i was thinking about throwing on a spacer while im stock height and take them out when i get lowered, but are spacers safe? Btw, ill do spacers if theres no +15 in stock unless i have the option for a fast delivery on a special order.

Also hiz-n-herz, how are the wheels holding up? Still strong with no problems so far, with hopefully easy cleaning ?

Spacers are safe, but they are kind of a band-aid for not being able to get the right offset.

You can use them to tailor your look, if you like. But I don't know if the spokes are the same shape with a different offset. And the lips may not be as deep. I have never seen these rims in a +22. Wouldn't it suck if they came and they did not look how you thought they would? Or if you do not get high-disc in the front and can't get a BBK even if you wanted to without changing rims?

+15 is the offset to get for the z. Call F1Motorsport or A-Spec Products. Look in vendor classifieds in the marketplace -> wheel and tire section... They can tell you exactly what you need. They know the wheels and they know the Z....

Also, make sure you get super-low disc in the rear and hi disc in the front.

These are a b!tch to clean!!!! Water collects on those big lips when washing and does not drain out.. I have syringe for sucking the water out from between the black ring that connects the spokes and the rise in the rim barrel behind it. I'll have to take a pic tomorrow when I wash mine. Once you have cleaned and dried them, they will appear dirty again in about 20 miles as the brake dust collects on the polished lip. In the rain, these look like a sewer - Lips turn brown with muddy/dirty water and brown water collects in the place mentioned above.

But other than that they are SICK!!!

I get compliments all the time on them. They are holding up just fine.
