Enkei Rp03 bent after six months
To make the long story short. I bought Enkei RP03 from discount tire about 6 months ago. 19 by 8.5 front and 19 by 10 in the rears. Everything went swell til about a month ago when I noticed my front passenger tire lost about 10psi. Just aired it back up and about two weeks later the same happened. I was certain there was a leak in the tire so I took it in. After having discount take a look at my tire, they tell me there is a slight bent on the inner wall of my passenger wheel. Anyway they just patch it up with some weird sticky black solution. Since then I haven't noticed any leaks. My question is can the wheel be fixed back to its original shape? or do I need to buy another? If so anyone have any suggestions on where to go? I was told it is unsafe attempt to repair a forged wheel, is this so?

That's what I heard too. But that wasn't after purchased them. I heard the RPF1 have a real tendency to break easy too. I think its the race series wheels that end easily. They're light but I had known they were gonna bend easy I would have went with some tsw and save me a grand!

A 5 spoke design like the RP03 is susceptible to bending do to the distance between the spokes.
Hey I have to jump in here about the RPF1 Enkei wheels. We have had them on our SCCA T-2 car for 3 years. We race the car hard as proven by several track records in Northeast and Southeast divisions. We had trouble two times but only because we were hit right on the wheel. Any wheels would have broken under those hard impacts.
The number one cause of wheel bending or breaking is hitting curbs and potholes. Especially with very low profile tires which wont take much of the impact. If you have a problem with an Enkei wheel I suggest you call the distributor in Texas and see what they will do for you.
