Default Help With New Wheels

it sucks when the search is down. thinkin about bronze te37's on my brickyard z makes my ***** hard, so i'm tryin to figure out sizin. i'm thinkin of 18's; cheaper on the ole wallet, but still a little bigger than my stock 17's. what width would u guys go with. 8.5 front, 9.5 back? thanks.

If going with 18 TE's,
I would use 8.5 fr. and 9.5 r.

I believe the offsets available for the Z in 18in. are +30 f. and +35 r.

I think that color combo would look radical as well.

now i'm gonna sound like a newb. i thought offset was static with the width of the wheel, but u used the word available. i'm confused.

The offset has to do with how far the wheel extends from the hub.
for example- a 9.5" wide wheel with a +22 offset will be pushed out farther towards the edge of the fender than a 9.5" wheel with a +35 offset.

the stock 18" are 8" wide and +30 all around. With these sizes and offsets, when you look down the side of the car the wheels appear slightly "tucked" into the wheel wells.

In my case I have 8.5 f. +22 and 9.5 r +22. With these sizes and offsets, when you look down the side of the car, the wheels and body of the car are flush.

hope this helps a little, it can be confusing.

yeah, so offsets r static and there's nothing u can do about em, right? that's what i thought anyway.
