Help me pick out wheels!
I still have stock wheels and I really need to find something but I'm having a hard time picking and deciding on what to get. Any advice or suggestions on what brand to go with?
If you're looking for 19's I'd suggest Volk. If you're on a budget I suggest looking in the classifieds. Tell us more info about your car and I'm guessing this is a DD. If so, you also need to think about tire wear and remember that 19" tires cost more.
Yeah its a DD.
I just lowered it 1.2 inches all the way around (S-techs).
I think I narrowed it down.....
1. Nismo's
2. Volk TE37's
3. Axis Hiro's

Can't ever go wrong w/ Volk and since Nismo is made by Ray's then same vote of confidence goes for them too.
Both designs are timeless and will always look good. So if your car is not a show car and you don't need the WOW factor of having rare wheels then those are your best bets. Not sure in ATL but both are still pretty rare around town anyways. It's just like everyone has them on the interweb!
As for sizes, if you go w/ TE37 or LE37s the standard 19x9.5F and 19x10.5 with 22 offset is best. As for tires, since it's a daily and I'm guess you want as much proection from potholes I'd suggest the 255/35/19F and 285/35/19R combo. This will require rear fender modification though.
As for Axis, I'm sure they have fixed their cracking problem but there have been issues with that particular model having cracking issues. Not sure if you'd be willing to risk it.
If you go w/ Volk let your first call/PM be to Andy@performance (SN on here) for a set.
