$400 for just the lip is insane. I paid $300 to have my GTs powdercoated black chrome with silver lips, took about a week with sandblasting:




My guy could have done the powdercoating with the red stripe, including shipping back and forth, and it still would have ended up cheaper than what you paid Not that you always want to go with the lowest price, just saying that $400 for just the lip is pretty expensive.

Oh well, neither here nor there now. The problem in your situation is that they've already been sandblasted; you might as well have them finish it like you said. As for the stripe, just get red pinstriping fabric tape. If you are careful and apply it correctly, you should have no trouble getting it around the rim without wrinkling. Less than $10, and if you don't think it came out good just peel it off and try something else.
