Default Need New Tires

Looking for input from the forum on a new tire purchase. I am in the Dallas area (Hot summers) so I am looking for advise for tires that will work well in the hot summers and the wet spring and fall. ANy advise would be welcomed. BTW, the stock tires are CRAP!!!

If price isn't an object go with BFG KDW's awesome wet and dry tire. Little road noise and looks sick... only downside is it's unidirectional...

do you drive in the winter as well? Although we (N Texas) don't get much snow, it does get pretty cold around here. My stock 040's feel slick when it's 30 degress outside. Been thinking about getting rid of them - hoping it warms up and stays warm very soon!

I haven't used the MX's in snow yet, but they work fine when we've had 30* mornings. I used to have some cheap Nexen N3000 tires which have a pretty sporty tread design and I didn't have any trouble in snow with them. So far, having owned a Mustang in Connecticut, a Jeep CJ-5 (very rarely used 4wd) in Connecticut, and driving my step-dad's Toyota Supra from Connecticut to Florida in January during a bad snow storm... I think good driving skills is all you really need. The Supra had crap tires at the time also, and I saw MANY cars off in the ditches. I also managed to get the Supra up a pretty steep incline in order to get to my hotel with like 4-6 inches of snow. It took me about 10 tries, but I made it. Just don't drive like an idiot and you'll be fine.
