Stolen Rims =( part 2
if you paid by paypal, credit card, debit card or check, check your statements.
there might be a reference number that you can take to the retailer who can then look up the transaction on thier end and provide proof of sale.

Quick question while on the subject. If you are running after market rims and they are stolen, couldn't you just ask for the cost of an OEM setup? I just checked the MSRP on my 06s and they run $759 a piece. That should easily cover the cost of Volks no? Or am I just that naive.
Edit: I am just that naive.

Liberty mutual said my purchase of 979$ (civic wheels) to WHEELSHOP.com (or whatever cut rate internet site I used) on my CC wasn't good enough and since the company was out of business, i was SOL
I know people on here won't like this, but talk with a local shop or something, get them to get you an invoice or something. All is fair vs insurance companies, they don't play by fair rules, why should we?

Computer. Scanner. MS Word. Instant receipt. Wah lah!
While I don't condone outright dishonesty, insurance fraud, etc., if you:
1) Really had the rims.
2) Really had the rims stolen.
Then I see no fraud in providing the necessary "proof" that the insurance company wants. If they want you to jump through a hoop to collect on a policy you've paid premiums on, then provide them the hoop. *shrugs*

I don't think that quoting Nissan's MSRP for the stock wheels will work. Most insurance companies would get the wheels for about the same prices that a body shop would pay. When I had my accident, they were about $250 each.
Think about it...if OEM wheels were really worth that much, we'd all be stealing our own wheels for the payout.

I'm probably going to be bitched at for doing this by most of you, but like it was stated by a few before, the insurance company will make you run circles to get information, like the time when i was born(etc. stupid stuff). so I'll just play their game =)

honestly idc,lol
are they seriously going to pinpoint my exact scheme, no.
wouldn't matter anyway, if they weren't such ****** about the information needed just to get help from insurance, people wouldn't have to be dishonest.
