Hi all. I was browsing the 18" wheel thread, but no one posts their drop.
I am checking out some wheels for my Z, 18x9 and 18x10. I don't want too crazy of a drop. I have been told S Tech would fit my application well. However, I am paranoid at how much fender gap there would be on a 18" wheel, on S Tech springs, 35 profile tire (255/35 & 275/35). I was looking at GF210s, but I've been told they aren't so good on the '03 suspension and that S Tech would work out better. I am guessing it has to do with hitting the bump stop? I think the GF210 will drop 1" and 1.2", while the S Tech is .6" and .8". So, pics of 18s with S Tech drop? I think 19s would be okay but not sure about 18s. The wheel I want only comes in 18 for the Z, so 19 is not an option. My option here is which spring setup to use. I have a good idea of how the GF210 would look with 18s, but not S Tech..

Yeah I have seen a lot of Tanabe 210 drops but few Tein drops. I searched Tein and most of the thread don't have pictures. :/ I figure if I go with 35 profile front and 40 profile rear it will help reduce the gap, but I don't know for sure.
Anyone?

I have s-techs on my 03 and same stockers as you do now. I can show you in person if you want to see how they look like. I honestly love them. I wanted the tanabe GF's but on my stock wheels i would need major spacers and the s-techs work out perfect for me untill i get my volks. Also they have settled in more.

ttuberz, where are you located? How come I haven't seen you at any meets (or have I?)
Anyway, I just ordered some AME FS01 today. Now the question is, what tire size.
I am thinking 255-35 and 275-35, or 255-40 and 275-40. Third option 255-35 and 275-40. I am going to get Falken 452s but I am not sure if the sidewall would turn out for the look I want. I figure the 40 profile would make the gap a bit smaller but at the same time I don't want off-road looking tires on it.

Where are you guys meeting up? I *might* go skiing this weekend but if not, I would definitely be down. Send me a PM with details.
