Default Riken Tires

Hey i was wandering what everyones opinions on these tires are?
https://www.tiresavings.com/tireShop...tor+ZR&season=
I am having my brother order them from his dealership. i'd say if they work out, i am going to hit the track hard. Not having to worry so much about spending a full Grand on tires each time i go to the track is going to really ease my mind.

@David

My cousin bought these tires for his 07... from the description he gave, they seem to suck.

I have them on my stock track rims. And they seam to be just fine for 100 a pop. Can't complain. I need tires and that was all the shop had in 245-45-18.

Decent tires

Chris

Tires and brakes are things you DON'T want to go cheap on!! They could be the difference between life and death in the right situation! Unless you plan on never pushing your Z and always driving on dry roads. Not trying to be a d!ck. but....If you can't afford good tires, ESP for the track, then maybe you should of got a lower performance car.

If you buy these tires and die I want whatever mods you have shipped to 08008 thanks!

But seriously...I work for a dealer...we make jokes when the service writers buy these tires, these are absolutely awful tires, you could make tires out of paper better, they are a **** design and right up there with Road Kings...lol

I got 15k on my roadster with the raptor riken. Michelin owns them FYI. They are quiet and work well for me. I have 80K on my roadster now in Socal. I drive alot of freeway 80+.

I had tire growl on my Yokohama's, pretty quickly, and ofcourse the stock tires that came with the Z, which honestly, I forget, also had major growl.

Default Riken one more note

on a positive note, I'm running 225 40's on the front, and I like the handling, not sure if anyone ever has tried that on stock 18's. The car came stock in 04' with high grade Michelin's and after 15K they got real squirrelly, with high speeds 85+ on freeway and off ramps turns. They separated, my mechanic told me. Socal roads are harsh, I guess. So I don't trust what came stock on the Z. Though amazingly, these Riken's feel great, going into 16K, and have had no tire growl, which happened on all my other tires in the last 4 years, after about 8k...go figure? So maybe they will all of a sudden fall apart soon, and I'll re-tract my feelings on them. My brother has a Z in VA, and he ran goodyear Eagle, expensive tires, to say the least, but ended up hating them, and went to Yokohama's, but he only has 4k on those....So who knows?
