Default Is a 7.5" wide wheels too narrow for 245 tire?

Does anyone know if a 245 series tire is too narrow for a 7.5" wide wheel?

More precisely, will a 245/45/18 tire fit on a 18x7.5" wheel without problems?

yeah.. i got some 18x7.5" wheels on a 245/45/18... DONT DO IT. Im trying to get these off ASAP, the previous owner had them on.. it looks extremely bad, there not even close to being flush... get some 8.5 or 9.5" wide wheels.

Using the above link, calculate the stock tire size and the size that you want. It'll show you the differences clearly.

7.5" is just too narrow for the car to begin with.

I think the 17" wheels that the DE engined Zs came with had 7.5" wide wheels in the front. No person in the right mind, I hope, would get a narrower wheel with larger than stock sized tires (I'm guessing for the front).

No. I would not put a 245 mm tire on a 7.5 inch wheel. But is it possible? Yes.

Sorry, should have stated it as a general question, not Z specific.

doesn't matter. a 245 tire will not properly fit a 7.5 width wheel
