still not giving up tire rim specs.

and people: I have seen this happen on Goodyear Eagle GSD3s... it happens to EVERY tire sometimes. it is known to happen to GSD3s and they are the second best rated UHP tire. you know? improper fitment from what they wanted (streched, too wide for rim, etc) will cause failure sometimes. improper mouting, which can also happen can lead to sidewall failure.

stop making generalizations. if there was a 'falken wide' problem, there would be a lawsuit. some softer sidewalls can't handle stretch.

and those tires don't look very new.

Right. That's b/c I bought the tires and wheels together as part of a package from Wheelmax. If you read my previous thread DO NOT BUY FROM WHEELMAX (link above) I made a point that their wheels were not safe. Now I can add tires to their growing accolades.

Good questions.
1. I do check my tire pressure regularly. I do all my own work on my car, including oil changes.
2. 18's. Not certain about offset, let me check.
3. No
4. Not long, my car only has 19K miles, so I figure the tires had about 10K on them if that.

Today, I came away safely with personal, first-hand knowledge that this for one is really true.

The fact remains that this was a Falken tire that spontaneously failed on me. My account needs to be documented so that people who are in the market to buy tires or wheels can make an informed decision given the current information at hand.

what in gods name are you blathering about?

why are wheelmax wheels unsafe? since when is the safety of an AZA wheel and/or falken tire wheelmax's fault?

the current "information at hand" is that perhaps you got a bad tire...no more. that's it. Ive seen a thread like this about the stock craptenzas. what are you gonna do. I dont think this thread represents Falken tires in general.

here is what happened...

first you lost air pressure ( there is so much chit on the highways that it is very common to puncture a tire )

then your tire shredded..... ( we all saw the pic )

this can happen to all tires. ( pneumatic)

WheelMax sold me a set of OZ superleggeras. ( is that an unsafe wheel ? )

so please, chill - out and everything will be fine. ( you will never buy a falken tire again )

Every tire blows if the condition is right. I've taken 2 sets of Falkens through hell, and they've been nothing but great.

I am chill, now...

I'll state this again:

The fact remains that this was a Falken tire that spontaneously failed on me. My account needs to be documented so that people who are in the market to buy tires or wheels can make an informed decision given the current information at hand.

Look next time I buy a set of tires it will certainly not be a Falken. And just for the record, I do believe wheelmax wheels are unsafe. You need to do a search of "Wheelmax Sucks" and you will get your answer. There are plenty of documented cases which post pics of wheels that look like chit which were bought from wheelmax. If you want more information...

Or go to

http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/ripoff67788.htm

hope this helps. enjoy your wheelmax wheels.

nobody is documenting crap...lol

you have no idea what you're talking about besides the fact that wheelmax fuked up your order a few times. So maybe wheelmax does suck.

but...that has no bearing on falken tires. And nobody's going to make a buying decision based on this retarded thread.

you and only you are making the choice. you are in control. we all make wrong, bad , and unsafe choices - and we all pay the price.

( i lost 1k on a set of 20' TSW 's, and about 400 on generic y-pipes, so now i run VOLK , ADVAN SPORT, AMUSE and TANABE )

Yes, that is true, this was their initial mistake. I posted that link as a buyer beware, i never knew at the time that my Falken's would fail on me, hence I created this thread.

Falken came from Wheelmax also, as a replacement for the huge fuck up they made with my initial order. And yes the Falken were the correct sizes.

AS I mentioned in that other thread, Wheelmax scammed me b/c they took the money I paid for the Toyo and gave me Falken tires instead, and plus they never reimbursed me for the shipping charges to send back the Yokos in the first place (which was there fault). THe whole story in detail is in that thread.

It seems the association b/t Wheelmax and Falken is confusing to some, but very simply, I got the Falken's from Wheelmax, but Wheelmax has already scammed me once that's why I'm pissed that in a way they are screwing me again.... Double whammy, first they take my money and now they indirectly affect my safety on the road....

Thank you for your intelligent comments. No bearing on falken tires? I see... what part of the photograph is an anyway confusing where the tire is split 2/3 rd's in half?!
