New Rims Came In
#6
^already sold.
sizes are:
17x9 +20 FR face
18x10 +18 RR face
I risked it and got the Sumitomo HTRZIIIs from the reviews I have seen. went with 255/40/17, 275/35/18 to reduce the rolling diameter about an inch. it is noticeable in terms of performance IMO. the car sits 1/2 inch lower as well.
here is a pic as the car sits before lowering on coilovers (probably 1/2 inch):
just to show rear face

I like the 17/18 combo. My last two cars before the 350 had "staggered" sizes like this from the factory. One was a 17/18 and the other was an 18/19 combo. So I'm no stranger to the look and I can appreciate it. Good work.

and in regards to the tires (for posterity) for the sizes, they were under 600 bucks, which is insane. they got very good reviews on Tirerack so I figured I would try them out.
I haven't gotten 500mi on them yet to judge thier handling but already they are very good tires (maybe 200mi's) and the ride is compliant and not very noisy. Tirerack did a great job balancing them as well, no vibration or anything up to 120 or so. I will be sure to post a review of the tires once they are broken in.
