Tire Guys, got a question
Falken Ziex ZE-912 or Falken FK 452. Which one would be better and why? My research says the ZE-912 might last a little longer with a UTQG of 360 compared to the FK 452 rating of 300.
I can't find any other significant differences, are there any?
This is going on an '03 Touring.

You can usually get higher treadwear tires, but its going to cost you, and sometimes a LOT.
As for one tire vs the other, can't really say. I just bought some FK-452s but I have to put them on or clock any miles on them. I have heard they have good wet weather traction compared to some of the other summer tires so that is why I got them. Good price too. Rains a decent amount here so I didn't want some summer tires that automatically hydroplane constantly lol.

For the price, they are decent, Im sure they suit your needs, but as a shop employee I will not sell a set. Just my .02

POLL!!
What are you looking for in a tire? I'll summarize the tires for you.
ZE-912 = You want dry traction - no compromises, you keep your baby safe when it rains, or you will drive extra carefully when it does. It will last 20% longer than FK-452, that could be the difference between 15,000 and 18,000 miles. The tires will never see freezing temperatures.
FK-452 = You want a balance of dry and wet traction, maybe even sporty driving in the rain. It's a daily driver, but the tires will never see freezing temperatures.
I'm an NTB service manager and I have nothing but respect for Falken, but you might also want to consider Sumitomo HTRZ III for dry traction or HTRZ II for wet and dry, those should be in your budget, also.
Go NTB drift! (Falken RX8)
