I am thinking about getting some Exclaim UHP by General Tire, the reviews seem to be real good and good prices for the tires. The only thing is that I have stock rims with 225/45 and 245/45. These tires only come in 225/40 and 245/40. How big of a difference is that, are they going to look funny on the car? What do you guys think. Thanks

they'll just screw with your speedo and you might want a drop since your gap will look bigger

 

The speedo will be off , the gap will be huge. Other than that its no problem.

 

You have decreased rear axle ground clearance by 12.25 mm.

The speedometer will read 103.75 MPH at 100 MPH.
