Confuse as to what tire size to get

I had 275's in the rear with a 9.5" wheel and +20 offset and I didn't rub. Haven't put the 285's on yet but im also going with a 5MM spacer so I will prolly roll the fenders. Go with the 245/40 and 285/35, you MAY have to roll your fenders slightly depending on how your lowered and your camber, BUT it will look way way better and very aggressive and nice. Do it the right way the 1st time.

^^ Then 275's are the best choice (275/40-18).
285's on 18" wheels are not a common width in the correct overall diameter for a Z equipped with VDC.
295's on 18" wheels with 18mm offset will rub.

I don't have VDC and the Sumitomo (sp) HTZ III come in the 285 I want and area really good summer performance tire so that's what I went with.
Yep I still have the Work CR Kai, which I would like to sell and get soem XD9's but im not trying really hard to sell them.

Any opinions on this size?
I have some 18x9 and 18x10 XD9's on their way, and plan on going with KDW2's. Now I keep being told that the size to get is 245/40/18 and 275/35/18, I have an 05 touring with TCS no VDC.
Now from what I'm reading in here about 1/2 dif between sizes for correct traction control function etc I calculated that i Should actually get the KDW2 in 245/35/18 front and 275/35/18 rear which has a .8" difference in size vs the .7" difference the stockers have and they both have a 1.1 - 1.2" decrease from stock diameter so they are both 4.7% slower meaning at 60mph on the speedo I'll be at 57.5mph. This is all going off the miata forum calculator.
If I am correct then this would work out great as everyone is sold out in the 245/40/18 kdw2's.

^ you should be fine.
But IMO 35 profile really look good with really Low dropped or 19" otherwise u wil have gap between tires and ur fenders.

Define Low Drop?
From my math running those 35's will lower the car as is 1/2" as well as look alot better on the rear with the XD9's as most people say the 40 makes the rim look even smaller that it is.
At most I was thinking of running an H&R or Eibach spring and dropping the car maybe 3/4".

275/40 and 245/40
I have 285/35R and 255/35F waiting to go on though. I think the 40 in the rear looks too big. Only rubs occasionally on a big bump. I have Eibach Sportlines.
