Default yellow z with rh j8 wheels

i bought some used rh j8 wheels. each rim has some minor curb rash that i need to repair. i was thinking of either repolishing the lip or painting it. i would have the lip painted to match the ultra yellow of my z. i saw a picture of a yellow porsche with yellow and black rims that gave me the idea. i have attached the picture of the porshce and picture of my rims. do you think it would be to much yellow?

Im not sure...I think that the Porsche looks so good because the lips on the wheels are huge. The lips on your wheels are much smaller, so I dont know.

If you think it would look nice, go for it. You don't see too many yellow Zs around, so the wheels may set it apart even more and look really nice.

Personally though, I would probably go polished.

Good Luck.

I'm gonna say no. I think that much would clash.

Now if you wanted to go Time Attacks and change the red to yellow, I could see that.

You are only allowed to paint wheels as long as they look like fake Volk wheels. Anything else is unacceptable.

There is an ultra yellow Z with the same or similar looking wheels (black spokes) with an ultra yellow lip. It's from New Jersey its a show car. I will see if I can find the pictures.

too much yellow IMO, and i own a yellow Z too so i am biased. Like someone mentioned above, I think if you wanted to go the paint route i would just do the pin stripe like the time attacks. that would look sick in yellow i think.

these wheels actually have a pretty large lip so there is plenty of surface to paint yellow. a picture of another z with painted lips would be helpful. does any one have a idea about the cost to have them painted. i went by a shop to check and the guy was saying around 200-300 a wheel. does that seem right. also, would the brake dust be a problem with a painted lip?

Mixed feelings from me , doesnt look bad , but i feel the spokes need to be darker to really set it off.
