I changed my rear rotors last weekend and ended up using a breaker bar to take the lug-nuts off. The factory lug wrench did not have enough leverage. I had to pull HARD to get get the nuts off ( HA HA ).
I got curious and found the standard spec for the torquing the lug nuts is about 80 to 90 ft/lbs. I put a torque wrench on the front wheel lug nuts and hit 140 ft/lbs before it went off the scale. UNBELIEVBABLE what an ***#$)*( and an impact wrench can do...

you guys do know that with an impact gun they do sell special torqued sockets. .any rim only requires about 75-80 lbs. .anything more's a waste. .specially when u catch a flat and are trying to get the damn rim off. .B4 u even put the wheels back on and the lug nuts. .allways lube up the threads ahead of time for next times removal to be easier. .I like to use. .Bendix Brake caliper grease. .PInk stuff!!!
