Default Cracked Axis Hiro update

Cliff notes, from before. I had one of my Hiros crack after almost 4 years of use.

I sent some pictures to Axis then called Axis, they sent me back over to the place I bought my wheels from wheelstudio.com and after a short convo with them, I had a new wheel shipped out for free the very next day.

Props to them for the turn around time on getting a new wheel out to me.

Just wanted to share.

having a cracked wheel sucks...but at least they have awesome customer service to replace those wheels.

That is excellent customer service. There are wheels that cost 2 or 3 times what you paid. The manufacture would laugh in your face if you wanted a free replacement after 4 years.

When I got shafted with these nearly new Advans, Mackin was actually quite sympathetic. I was a bit surprised how helpful they were. But, on the flipside its not like being able to ask Yokohama directly for help.

I didn't think about removing my valve cap, go figure when I got the wheel back it had a basic chrome valve cap on the wheel, I asked them about it and they said they would check after cleaning up and ask the guy who did the tire change... sure enough "oh it didn't have a valve cap on the wheel" sure enough the pictures I took right before removing it from the car say other wise....

Sigh. one of those not worth making a fuss about it deals. At least they did a good job changing the tire and didn't mess up the wheel at all.

Anyone know of some good valve caps? I wouldn't mind some red axis caps.=)

Yeah.. last week I had to ask where my Rays caps where after I loaded my G wheels up in our Pathfinder (new tires). One guy walked over to another and without as much as one or two words, the guy reached in his pocket and handed them to the other guy....NNNNNNNNNNNNnice....

I HIGHLY recommend detail/cleaning your wheels AT LEAST once a week. Not only will it allow you to have super clean wheels even after 2-3-4 years, you can easily check for cracks.

That picture was taken 1 or 2 weeks ago. again, almost 4 years old.
