Cutting/Grinding fenders?!?
Question guys, would it be possible to cut/grind the bulk of the inner fender and then heat the fender and finish the rest off with a set of flat metal pliers? I think if I took my time it could turn out just as good as having it done by someone else. Im pretty meticulous when I do things so I have good enough confidence I could pull it off.
I think this is similar to what the shop was going to do when I took it in for a quote. He sorta described the same as above.
What do you think?!???
Thanks,
-Alex

How did it turn out? After looking closely at the rear fenders, I really cant see how this will be very difficult? Do you have any pics of what you did on the 7?

But, it's just as easy to just roll them. I think the general opinion is that rolling is better.
I'll see if I can dig up pictures, but I don't want to promise anything because everything's on disks and I have like a million of them!

i cut mine with a jigsaw while laying on my back, it was a PITA! then went back and spent a few hours filing the metal smooth and sealing it with a few coats of under carriage paint or bedliner.
if you can get them rollled FLAT by a "pro" its worth it IMO. if you cut it, you will sacrifice the structural integrity of the top portion of the fender where it has been spot welded.
