Default Oainting hubs or whatever thats called

OK the piece that holds the wheels (not sure what its called) is turing brown. Would I be able to get some high temperature paint like rust-oleum and paint it black or would it just peel off?

I'll try to get some pictures. It's the whole round thing that you bolt the rims onto thats in between the rotor.

you are confusing terms... or parts

the brake rotor sits between the hub and the rim. so you bolt the rim to the rotor. the section the studs (what you put the lug nuts on) stick through from the hub is called the rotor hat.

I would start with 10 grit and work my way, incrementally to 1,000,000 grit.

it's hard to find, but I think Home Depot carries it.

Are you sure 1,000,000 is high enough?

One could only hope so because, the odds of finding 2,000,000 grit in the local Home Depot will be impossible to find. Maybe he could just double up on the 1,000,000 with 2 pieces to get the same as 2,000,000 grit......sounds logical.
