Default Got my adr's install with Falken's. I like it...

Just wanted to let some know what my adr's look like. I know there is a blue one on the group that has the same set-up. I know alot of you are biased about adr's and falken tires, but I am strictly a driver and not a racer. So for me I think these look ****. Also will be replacing the center ADR caps with the side fender Z logo that fits perfectly. the backs are 285/35/19 and fronts 245/35/19/. the rims are 8.5 and 9.5 with both 35mm offsets.

Well I only weighed the stock back tire against this back tire. The stock were 55 lbs and these are 59.5 lbs. So I added at least 9 more lbs in the back. I don;t really care myself. I like the guys on the board that talk about loosing weight on the car but then add 2 10 inch subs and 3 amps and 40 pounds of mdf speaker board. I think with the whole new rims and tires I probably added 15-18lbs more. But my supercharger will take care of that..

Adding a few pounds at each corner is far more siginficant than adding 40 pounds of stereo. We're talking about unsprung weight, which is critical for maximum power delivery. You would feel the difference in an additional five pounds at each corner, but you wouldn't feel an 80 extra pounds INSIDE the car.

Then why are these guys adding carbon fiber ugly *** hoods to save 10lbs? And why did corvette spend thousands of dollars to make a windshield that is 2 lbs lighter and on and on. There has got to be some reason that people are also trying to lose every pound they can from inside the car as well. I can uderstand that turning a 59# tire is going to be harder than turning a 55# tire. I did hear a rumor that toyo tire was lighter than the Falkens. Any truth to that?

It' called hyper chrome. It's a new chrome paint type stuff that out shines chrome, out lasts chrome, and is non fading like some chrome. They say it's way better. Don't know yet, but in a few years I will make my own opinion

I put the ADR Sterlings on my Z two days ago.
Looks awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am also more into the looks, I don't race nor do I care to.
I drive it plenty hard, but I will never see the track or the avenue, so who cares.

My wheels actually weigh 1lb less each than the 18" stock for the touring but again I couldn't care less.

I put 18 by 8.5 on the STOCK tires (chuckle youngsters) and I think it looks great, and so does everyone who sees it.

It's pretty funny, if you didn't spend 2-4 grand on your wheels and tires people look down on you here.

HRE, Volk, IForge all look phenomenel but for me (married with 2 kids), that's a week at Disney, so I got my ADR's and I am happy and defensive as a ****.

As soon as I figure it out, I will post pics from my digital camera.
Anyone willing to walk me through it, just PM me.

Thanks mucho.

These guys on the board can sometimes be so fanatical.

Oh well.

even though I have the iforged, I agree. The first set of wheels I bought were enkei rpm2's, but after receiving them, didn't care for them that much. Unfortunately, I ordered them based on pictures on the web.

Its not my fault that I fell in love with the iforged!, if I knew about these ADR wheels, I would have got them to begin with. Similar to the enkeis, but with a lip

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2423066086

Here is a set on ebay. I bought from this guy, but be careful he is a assshole and it takes about 3 weeks to get them. Not the best seller but 350.00 less than my local wheel shop. I did finally get them and they were in the original boxes and in good shape. I don't think they are b stock because they looked really good with all the papers and extras

Cost 1098.00 for rims delivered to my door and 1040.00 out the door for tires. so all in all 2140.00

I sold my rims off my performance for 1500.00 chromed. so it cost me 840.00 to do this mod.

No shaking, should there be?

Maybe I might go with eibach springs...
