Default Warranty question

This probably has been asked before, but I don't want to search through the dozens of pages required to find my answer. I hit the mother of all potholes today and cracked my rim. My roommate suggested that my warranty may be able to cover something like that. My car currently has 17k miles. Would something like this be covered or would Nissan just laugh at me and tell me to **** off?

With my $500 deductible it wouldn't be worth it

Apologize for being obvious but what does your warranty say?

I do NOT think your warranty will cover, since it is your fault.

I doubt it for the simple fact that everytime I've bought a car they try to sell me some special "wheel insurance" Unless you can prove it cracked because of a manufacturer defect, isurance is your only option.

On an upnote, seems like people are always selling their stock wheels on this site.

Well I spoke to my dealer and they confirmed what I already suspected - warranty will only cover defects, not accidents. Time to spend $350 on a new rim

actually, call the city... They will often cover the replacement. It's really on them to fix those things. They usually have a program set up to deal with damage.

$350? OEM wheel? You can probably get a whole set for that here
