Default Nitto 555R Drag Radial

Is anyone running the Nitto 555's if so what do you think? I have 20x10.5 on the rear and this is the first drrag radial I have been able to find. I'm thinking about ordering a pair of 305/35/20 today.

Let me know what ya'll think

Nitto NT 555R Drag Radial is a popular racing tire.
Are you sure that you want to race with 20 inch wheels?
How many horsepower do you have?
Is a 305 mm tire overkill?

I dont race a lot. I just want something that will hook. I dyno at 272 and I've added a 100 shot since . It's installed I just haven't sprayed it yet. Waiting to get a tune. My goal is 400 +/-.. I alread have the wheels so I just need a good tire. The Nitto's is all I have been able to find.

Just wanted to make sure you were not racing a naturally aspirated Z. 305 mm will be a good match with a power adder. I do not recommend 20 inch wheels.

I wouldn't normally, but with the 20 rears and 19 fronts they look ok. Performance wise I know it’s wrong. If I were trying to build a drag car I would go with 17’s or 18’s. They only make two sizes in the 20’s. It does look good from the rear though.

Why not just find some cheap 5 lug rear wheels to run the DR's on? I have seen people use different combos just for the track.

I could order 2 18" GT-7 if that was it.

Probably because I'm not trying to build a Drag or track car. I'm just looking for some good street tires for my street car. If I was building a track car you would be right it would make more since.

The question was "Is anyone running the Nitto 555's if so what do you think?" Not why shouldn't I have 20's on my 350Z Drag car. I just want a good tire that will stick.

If you have any USEFUL information please post it.

BTW I never said I worried about the price.

I ordered mine today $650 on the car, OTD for the rear. I didn't think it was to bad. I paid that for some Falken's last time.

they will hook a lot better than whats on there. Cons: they sling rocks on your beautiful paint, they only last around 6K miles or so with our kind of spirited driving..........

and let a brother know when you are gonna spray it.
