Default Am I understanding offsets correctly? for 19x10s all around...

Today's "will it fit" thread brought to you by moforeynolds

I've been searching and reading threads since yesterday, and played with the offset calculator that has been linked to on a few occassions...I'm still not 100% on this. I debated about starting my own thread, but I figure it would be best to just ask and possibly be flamed than not ask at all and buy something that doesn't fit.

I found a set of out-of-production wheels that I have been wanting for a while now. The issue is that it is a non-staggered set of 4--19x10 all around with a +37 offset. Yuck. If these wheels were still in production I would do a more standard 9/10 or 9.5/10.5, but obviously my choice in widths/offsets is not an option. I would like to run 255/30 fronts and 285/30 rears; from pictures that I have found, I really like the shorter sidewall as compared to the 35s--which may give me a slight fit benefit as well since I am dropped on Sportlines.

Anyway, to compensate for the less-than-preferable offsets, I was going to run a +15 spacer in the front and a +20 spacer in the rear to make an adjusted sizing of +22f and +17r...is this correct thinking? Am I understanding sizing and offsets correctly to think that these will now fit without issue, without looking like half the wheel is sticking out beyond the fender and without having to run some crazy camber???

Are you able to help me out without this being my impending doom?

you should be just fine, 265/30 front may be a better match and its slightly shorter.

Thank you for the tire suggestion; I can adjust the tire sizes to make this work since I will need to buy tires anyway, so I'll go with the 265/30 if that's a better fit. But when you say I should be fine, you mean that I'm correct on using the +15/+20 spacers to properly compensate for the +37 offset, right?

When you talk about extreme set-ups, like 10 inches all around, members may be quick with suggestions. I mean heck its your money not theirs.

Spacers? Buy wheels with the proper offset and forget the spacers.

Understandable.

I agree, but like I said, these wheels are out of production so I'm limited to what I can find. If these can fit without much issue I'll pick them up; if not, then I'll go with something more standard.

Its all good. I would put the wheels on first then make a judgement call on the spacers.

yes, your spacer calculation is correct +22 and +17. As far as I know, offsets are little different by width of the wheels but pretty close. I think +15 +15 would be a good call also.
Like what davidv said, put them on and make a judgement.

You want to go 20mm spacer front and 30mm rear for a flush look (not sticking out). If you want to be more conservative, I guess you can do 15/25.

They are SuperAwesomeo 6-piece JDM Sweets painted camo with rainbow lips. Very rare.

They aren't anything no one has seen before, just a wheel that I like at a price that is worth considering. They are new in box and have never been mounted, and the guy that has them will sell for less than half of what they cost new (MSRP ~$750 each).

+12 on a 10" wide rim would be "conservative"? I currently run 20mm spacers on my stock wheels, so I'll definitely do a test fit of these +37s with the 20mm spacer to see how flush they fit.

I'm leaving for my honeymoon Friday so I won't be grabbing these until I get back.
