Default All Track Pack Owners - list your mods

Hey everyone im new to the forum and i recently bought a 04 silverstone track pack 350z
Im having a very hard time deciding what mods to get for my car.
The most difficult decision i have is choosing a set of new rims since the track pack comes with the lightweight rims
i dont wana upset the weight since thats almost the only plus the track pack has (besides the brembos) so in order
to make my decision a little easier i decided to make a thread for everyone that has modded a track pack..

so.. let the listing of your mods begin

And you want to start modding because?

I run mine in SCCA Solo B Stock. Mods are what are allowed that improve on the already good handling of the Z stock.

* Koni DA shocks
* Eibach front sway bar
* DOT-R race tires (Kumho Ecsta V710s - 285/30R18 on the stock rims)

Don't need much more than that. Even the DA shocks are not entirely necessary -- Koni Sport (single-adjustable) are almost as good. I just wanted to get a bit more adjustability.

I love the car the way it is allready and it looks gorgeous as well. I would just like to make it more like.. my car if you know what i mean. Make it a little more personalized.

But i dont wana go overboard which is why i made this thread. and im not the type of guy who would put 20" chrome rims on the car. I like the more low key look.

basically im looking for a little originality without performance sacrifice. and if i could performance GAIN instead.

My advice would be to decide what you want to do with the car. Show car? Track car? Autocross? Drag? Street? Once you have a direction, then you'll be able to look at mods within that goal.

There are hundreds of "track pack" cars here, with an equal number of different modifications. A list of them will do you no good unless you understand the context of those mods.

PDX_Racer autocrosses his Z, hence his mods are within the SCCA stock rules and geared toward autocrossing.

You don't have to continiously keep calling it a "track pack". "Track" works just as fine.

I had Crawfords HFC, Motordyne plenum spacer and JWT pop charger on mine, and I loved the combo of the sound and a bit of performance I got out of it...
Also bought some GTS Volk rims which for the size were realy light...

Just my 2 c.

The only mod I have is a Summit Point decal on the rear window. My Z is the white one in the background.

Had it out at SP Main my second month of ownership. I'm looking to do a rear diffuser (JP Aero most likely) and that's about it.

Oh, I've swapped out the OEM rotors and pads and now running Centric and Carbotech.

So this is really a question about what rims to get?

See mods below. Unfortunately, I didn't really autocross my Z for several years because I didn't want to take money away from mods. I finally realized that that was stupid and now I'm autocrossing but some of my mods put me in a higher, more competitive class, . So, start with driving the car and then think about what mods you want. Don't get me wrong, I love my Z the way it's modded now but I run against highly modified vettes, etc. and get smoked around the track, haha.

Hey bud don't get discouraged by some people on this thread, people like to just post the same message over and over to up their post count, kind of sad really. Looks like you're needing some advice for making your car a little more unique but not going overboard. Wheels make a huge difference in the way the car looks and it most cases the way it performs. Look into getting some light weight wheels like Volks. There are plenty of threads on this at the wheels section, matter of fact there is one right now that asks everyone how much their wheels weigh. That would probably be your best choice right now.

Apparently so. His decision will be based on the mods that others have done, totally unrelated to anything else and in the absense of a plan or goal.
