Default Flat tire rant+question

Damnit. No idea how I got a flat, all i know is that my tire pressure was reading zero when i got in my car after work at 11:30PM and had to change that ***** all late at night in the dark. The worst part is i had to get on a plane the next day. So here I am back from cali and i've got to either get it patched or replace my rear tires with only 10K on them if a repair isn't possible.

Anyway this whole ordeal got me thinking. What the hell do people with non-stock wheels do when they get a flat tire? You can't really use that dinky spare if it's got a different diameter than the wheels you have on, otherwise you'd burn up your LSD.

Do you guys just live dangerously?

Ummmm... the same thing that people with stock wheels do. Use the spare. No harm in driving on it a short distance to get the normal tire repaired/replaced.

If its really that big of a deal, spend the money to get a matching wheel to use as a spare.

I carry a flat tire repair kit in the car for extreme emergencies. It has the slimmy stuff you inject plus a small air compressor. I will only use it as a last resort....

AAA + flat repair kit is the way to go.
you can also buy a air compressor for like $60 or so at pepboys or costco.

DO NOT inject anything into your tire if you have TMPS.

Rant? You wanna hear a rant? In the last 38 days I have spent $1300 on FIVE, count em FIVE brand new Bridgestone GForce KDW tires, ALL of mine have been replaced PLUS just last weekend I replaced the front drivers side for the second time. I have the WORST luck with tires. Nothing has EVER gone wrong with the car (knock on wood, but my tires.....OMG. I just cant keep nails and bolts out of them. Bad luck. My insurance covers tow trucks. Thank God.
