Default Lug Nuts

What kind of lug nut are you guys using?
I had the Rays but i screwed them up.

Im going to order some new ones but duno which, definately dont want to pay the same amount to have them eventually get all screwed up, and want them to be able to handle an impact wrench. Extended and open ended would be great too.

Thanks!

I have a post on a thread similar to this about 30 days
back. I have experienced a nightmare with Rays extended
lugs. Their **** for chrom-oly chuck and frankly poor manufacture
quality had us sheering bolts by hand! Completely unacceptable
for such an expensive product. I have since ordered and
installed KICS R40s and could not be happier. Yes, they
cost an arm/leg, but the quality is undeniable. The chuck
is a cast (iron/steel?) affair which feels unbreakable. The
lock design is intelligent and untouchable (imo) by even
the brightest of thieves. Go buy them and enjoy.

Oh yeah - and they look ridic.

WTF?

I have rays extended and like them a lot.
I actually lost my long socket for the lock nuts and use a short socket (It barely fits on) and I have never had any problems with them stripping.

I take them in and out alot, changing street to track pads, street to track wheels, bleeding, etc. and from the use they are crap now. Not a fan.

The kind that strip easily. I had them before and they were ridiculous. I actually had to hammer a chisel into 1 and put vise grips on the chisel to get the lug nut off. And yes, I used a torque wrench. The metal used was just way too soft.

We carry the full line up of Mcgard. They are definitely very high quality and I highly recommend them. Send me a PM if you are interested in a set.

also hand/finger tighten first and follow up with a short torque wrench set at 75lb or less....i've never had any issues with stripping the threads.

Right now i'm thinking either Muteki or Kics, i also like the Titeks but i dunno on the quality. What else is out there and has been tested/tried? I really don't want to buy another set of lugs in a a while so all i'm thinking is durability/quality. Thanks.
