Question Tire gurus please help!

So hopefully i'll be coming home with new wheels soon. Sizing will be 18x9.5 +12 all the way around...
So just need some help with tire sizing...

245 / 40 F
275 / 40 R
That's what i'm currently thinking, any input? Or better suggestions?

Also will I need to roll fenders for +12??

One last question, can I take the TPMS out of my '05 touring wheels or do I have to buy a new set??
Thanks,
Leor

im thinking you will have to roll fenders but not for sure. as for tires, that should be fine.

I have 275/40 18x9.5+15 in the rear no rubbing with stock suspension and no fender rolling. thats a 3mm difference but I think you might just make it.

TPMS can be taken from your old wheels and can be put on the new wheels, either in the stock location or with the banding method depending on the wheel. If you do move the tpms be sure the right sensor is put in the right wheel. If you get a new set of sensors the dealer will need to recalibrate the system to recognize them.

I'm currently dropped on Hotchkis springs so I'm not sure if it'll clear. I probably should have mentioned that...what's the going rate for fender rolling just in case??

cavallino33 do you like the tire size you are currently running? Would you have gone any wider in the rear?

Thanks

Oh ok if your lowered I don't know then.

I went with a square setup so I have 275/35 front 275/40 rear on 18x9.5 +15's all around.I couldn't have really gone any wider in the rear and kept a square setup so. (Not sure if I've ever seen someone with any wider in the front). I'm pretty happy with it, the rear looks good and fits just pretty much flush with the fender. In hindsight I might have gone with a slightly higher offset in the front to have the fronts in a tad more but thats just nit picking really.

275 mm is a perfect size for a 9.5 inch wheel. Go 275 mm plus or minus 20 mm.

When you say plus or minus 20mm...what do you mean? I'm sorry I'm new to this...like 255 or 295?? Sorry for my ignorance!

Personally I wouldn't stagger anymore than 20 mm. As in run a 255/40 if your running 275/40 rear for a more neutral handling and better look. If it's just a street tire then it really doesn't matter, except the 245 is going to be way skinner than the 275. I run a 255/40 295/35 for the street, identical diameter tire.. It doesn't handle half bad really, but I have r comps for the track (245/275 40 series) so i don't care what they look like and they are way sticky so they work, not to mention they were free so i didn't care too much about size. My new r comps will be 275/285 35 series though.

As for the +12, I was running a 10.5" +15 with a 285 and had slight rubbing, so you might just be able to get away with it depending on your camber. Don't roll the fenders unless you have to. When the paint cracks it's expensive to have fixed... Trust me lol.....

Awesome! Thanks... So 255 / 40 and 275 / 40 and hopefully i can get by without rolling fenders! I'd prefer not too
