245's will fit beautifully on a 8.5" wheel, I put 245/45/18's on my 18x8 and they don't stick out too much, the performance is much better than the stock size (225/45/18). It might look a little worse, but it rides better and has better traction in the straights and the corners. That's worth it to me.
